Bennie Dillon
Historic Preservation
Built in 1927, the Bennie Dillon building is the only early 20th century Renaissance Revival high-rise in Nashville listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Originally developed as professional office space for lawyers, doctors, and financial companies, Giarratana transformed it into modern residential lofts in 1999.
Exposed brick, terrazzo floors, high ceilings, large windows, and sliding barn doors. Bennie Dillon proved that Giarratana's vision for downtown Nashville included honoring what was already there, not just building on top of it.
